Hydric Soils
Over several years, a soil that frequently has saturated, ponded, or inundated conditions in the upper parts, develops attributes resulting from anaerobic chemical reactions. These hydric soils have been classified and mapped and are one of the three parameters used to identify wetlands. Acorn staff are trained in identifying hydric soils. Our wetland professionals are trained and certified. Click on a link below for more information about hydric soils.
